Art.IV:
No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms.

Article IV, Human Rights Declaration: objective & subjective approaches

The objective approach of my artwork is the article IV itself against slavery, from the Human Rights Declaration (HRD). The intent is to bring awareness about this issue and to the HRD as well.

The subjective approach is about captivity and bondage.
And about the possibility of breaking free.

Breaking free from our servitude to the consumerism, beauty, religion, dogmas, toxic substances, fashion - issues that makes us slaves in our society.

It is represented by the metal dots in the outer square.

The mind connects the dots interpreting them as a square. But there are no lines drawing a square, the demarcation is in our mind---They are just metal dots... It can be transcended, there is nothing obstructing.
