We are bombarded with all kinds of information, our minds becoming numb, making it harder and harder to know what is real. The cuteness phenomenon on social media may exist because, while we witness so many tragedies and wrongdoings around the world, we crave a dose of cuteness to neutralize our sadness. But when we see cute rabbits jumping on trampolines—what is real anymore? With so much technology distracting us from what truly matters, how can we tell? Or should we simply stop caring?
