Assemblage with found objects and electronic waste
9x14x1in
The Gates Series explores the thresholds between the tangible and the transcendent, using air, earth, and water as metaphors for the foundations of existence.
Each gate becomes an invitation to move beyond ordinary perception—to sense these elements not only as physical matter, but as carriers of memory, transformation, and interconnection.
Through assemblage with found objects, I give new voice to what has been discarded, transforming fragments of human creation into symbolic portals that reflect our intimate relationship with nature.
Together, these works seek to transcend knowledge into awareness, revealing that the elements sustaining life also mirror the spiritual and emotional landscapes within us.
About the Water Gate:
Water flows as memory in motion — shaping, eroding, and renewing everything it touches. This artwork invites reflection on impermanence and transformation, where the discarded becomes fluid again - as the water itself.
