Title: Home—Is Where Your Heart Is
Assemblage sculpture with recycled and repurposed materials
11.5x16.5x11.5in.
Big or small, home is where we can rest, restore ourselves. With COVID it became much more important, since we started to spend more time living within with no outlet.
This artwork started with a part of a water heater tank that was blown out during the 2021 winter freeze at my house.
The meaning behind is that even though the environment may be tough like this metal piece, the house is hung, suspended.
There is a space for colors, warmth and fun.
A house inside a house, a dog or any loved one waiting for us.
The LED lights warms the metal environment and the mirrors reflect ourselves.
I dedicated this creation to my husband who loves bulldogs.
The dog was a gift from my friend
