Printer Interruptus
Assemblage sculpture with electronic waste and repurposed materials
36x11x2in.
The idea behind this piece was to show how a normal household printer can be a dirty business for the environment.
It happened when I opened one and was surprised to discover that almost everything inside was made of non-recyclable plastics. And I’m not even talking about the cartridges, which are another side of this pollution.
The sad part is that people usually just discard these printers at the curb without giving much thought to proper disposal, and they eventually go straight to the landfill.
