Title: Printer Interruptus
Assemblage sculpture with electronic waste and repurposed materials
36x11x2in.
About this piece the idea was to show how a normal house printer is a dirty business for the environment.
It happened when I opened one and I was surprised with the fact that almost everything inside was composed of non recyclable plastics. (And I am not talking about the cartridges, that it is another side of this pollution). The sad part is that usually people just discard them at the curb with no proper care, going then straight to the landfill.
The artwork was created in 2017 and damaged this year, so this is the new version, slightly different.
The original version can be seen here. |
